The last day 0f 2009. Unbelievable but only a few hours to go. What a year. Another year where so much has happened and here we are in a new home in a new country making a new life for ourselves.
We were lucky enough to have Alex with us to celebrate Christmas but he returned to the UK to spend the New Year in Portsmouth and we will join our neighbour and guests to see in 2010. We are really looking forward to our first full year here and receiving visitors and showing them around our little bit of heaven.
The weather has been much improved the past couple of days with temperatures of up to 27 degrees which can't be grumbled at. We treated Tiffy to a run down to the coast earlier this week and a run along the beach at Mojacar which she seemed to enjoy - I will walk her across the rambla once I have finished updating the blog.
Every day something happens which serves to confirm our decision to make the move out here, although there are many aspects of our old life that we miss still - mainly family and friends. However, we are able to keep in touch with them with modern communication channels being available. The internet is indeed a wonder of the modern world. Unfortunately when we sit down to update the blog all those amazing things appear to have been overtaken in our minds by the latest happenings. Each time we enter a shop to undertake a new purchase is an adventure, juggling with a new language and product availability make each day a new challenge but I think that is what it is all about for us.
